Original Pen & Ink Drawing "Formations V"

This original pen & ink drawing by textile designer and artist, Christy Almond, was inspired by organic formations of geodes.  "These formations are remarkably modern" noted the artist "and are constant source of inspiration I keep going back too."

In this series, the artist does not use any sketches or tools to create to work because the slight perfections that also occur in nature.  And she imagines how the formations naturally grow and and emerge from each other over time and develops each compostion in the moment.   

This work is sold unframed, signed by the artist, and is approximately 7" x 7" in size.
